Danelle is the founder of Thrive Therapies, a boutique-style speech therapy private practice in Baton Rouge

She has years of experience in speech pathology and specializes in early intervention, speech and language delays, myofunctional therapy, language/literacy disorders and dyslexia intervention.

Her focus is and always will be on the quality of her treatment and therapy. As a recipient of the ASHA ACE award for excellence in continuing education, Danelle believes in keeping up to date with the most effective and evidenced based treatment techniques and continues to be a lifelong learner.

She has had wide a variety of clinical experience in the public schools, private clinics, hospitals, early intervention as well as a Dyslexia Interventionist at a specialized school for children with dyslexia and reading difficulties. This kindled her desire to continue to work with literacy and Dyslexia as an SLP and become a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT). She is also a member of the International Dyslexia Association.

She continued her pursuit of knowledge by gaining continuing education and training in the area of orofacial myofunctional disorders. Many children with speech difficulties have some accompanying Orofacial Myofunctional deficits affecting the speech sounds through muscle movements or compensations of the facial muscles. Knowledge in this area has allowed her to utilize a unique and holistic perspective with speech sound disorders.

Danelle is also a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and a member of the Louisiana Breastfeeding Coalition to promote breastfeeding across louisiana and better serve her infant patients and families with feeding difficulties.

Danelle is committed to treating the WHOLE person and tailor therapy to the specific needs of the individual. There are no "cookie cutter" people therefore there should be no "cookie cutter" therapy and intervention.
